With the new year barely started, Thales Nederland already performed its first Factory Acceptance Test (FAT).
Subject was the third Variant surveillance radar for the German Navy.’s Berlin Support Ship of the Berlin class.
The first and second Variant passed the FAT in 2011. The first one will be deployed as a shore-based training system and the second one has been installed on the Bonn. The fourth and last Variant for the Support Ship program will be subjected to the FAT mid 2012 before being installed on the Frankfurt.
