Thales Angénieux is pleased to announce the commercial launch of Minie-Dir, a modular night-vision system combining light intensification and infrared technologies in a unique dual-sensor configuration. With this patented architecture, an InfraRed module is added to the Minie-D to optimise night vision: light intensification adds wide field and high resolution to infrared's ability to see through camouflage and in total darkness and smoke. The new product therefore expands operational capabilities and provides optimum protection.

Minie-Dir brings users all the standard benefits of the Minie-D, which has already been selected for France's future soldier system programme, and by Spain and Germany.

Minie-Dir is currently undergoing field tests to optimise configurations for different forces, including special forces.
