Thales
has been operating in Indonesia for 40 years and is presenting a broad range of
defence products and systems at the fifth edition of Indo Defence.

Thales will be taking part in Indo Defence, Indonesia's No.1 tri-service
defence event, from 7-10 November 2012 in Jakarta. The Group is a key partner
for the Indonesian armed forces and will be presenting its expertise as a
supplier of systems, equipment and solutions for air, land and naval forces.
Thales will be showcasing its capabilities in a number
of areas:
- Naval systems: Thales is a pioneer in
the development of new naval solutions to meet constantly evolving operational
and security challenges. The Group is a long-standing partner of the navies of
more than 50 countries, providing innovative solutions encompassing everything
from system design to through-life support services. At Indo Defence, Thales
will be focusing on its expertise in the field of naval radars, evidenced by
the supply of all key systems on the Indonesian Diponerogo class corvettes.
- Advanced air defence: for
more than 40 years, Thales has been developing, manufacturing and providing
best-in-class Air defence systems for customers worldwide. It is the only group
in Europe to be able to offer the entire integrated capability from air defence
radars and C2 through to effectors and their respective fire control systems.
Its joint venture with Raytheon, ThalesRaytheonSystems (TRS), is the world
leader in battlefield radars, with more than 600 systems in service throughout
the world. Thales is also the world’s leading supplier of integrated weapon
systems, with more than 450 mobile, integrated systems in service with
customers throughout the world. TRS Ground
Master 200 and 400 air defence radarsmodels as well as the Thales RAPIDRanger and LML STARStreak weapon systems
solutionswill be presented at Indo
Defence.
- Communication
systems: Thales provides a large range of
communication products and solutions to bring Information Superiority and
Network Centric capability to the armed forces. Thales offers interoperable
systems including a complete range of radios for all levels of command centres
up to infantry soldier as well as for air, ground and sea platforms, covering
air-to-air and ground/sea-to-air communications. Several of Thales’s flagship
communication systems and radios will be on display on the stand.
- Electronic
Warfare: Thales has been a supplier of electronic
warfare systems for more than 40 years, offering a range of Electronic Support
Measures (SIGINT), Electronic Protection
(ECCM) and Electronic Attack (ECM) solutions that is tailored to the exact
requirements of system users in terms of mission profiles and operational
environments. At Indo Defence, Thales will be showcasing its new generation of
COMINT receivers (COMmunication INTelligence).
- Optronics: Thales
is a pioneer in optronic equipment and systems, with thousands of products in
service in more than 60 countries. Working closely with its partners and with
end users, Thales draws on a range of advanced optronics technologies to
develop imaging and image processing solutions that are tailored to the precise
requirements of each customer. At Indo Defence, Thales will be presenting its
range of thermal cameras and night vision goggles.
International
experts will be on hand for product demonstrations and presentations in all the
