This year again, Eurosatory was a great success and stays the largest world gathering of experts in equipment, services and high technologies in the Defence sector, of military and political decision makers, of Defence international Press. The show has been visited by 75.000 visitors and 1.000 exhibitors.

Thales booth was crowded, and numerous important guests have visited it: more than 150 Official Delegations from more than 70 countries, and a lot of journalists from the international media.

It was an opportunity for Thales to highlight its capabilities and its high innovation capacity: the group thinks tomorrow today, and the stand has reflected this new way of leading force protection, information dominance and operational efficiency.

Products like Bushmaster and its new logistical version Copperhead, Shark, awarded by the "Prix Chanson" of the DGA, or the great offer in terms of UAVs and tactical networks (Flexnet, ISAF, Comm@nder, and FIST) give to Thales a centric position on the security and defence market. On this occasion, Thales has also announced major partnerships, such as the sale of Bushmaster in France, with Panhard, or the Flexnet presentation, featuring Rockwell Collins.

Thales confirms its appropriate strategical position, linked to the new French defence orientation, with new  products, systems and services offers.

Presented on the Innovation booth in Eurosatory, Reverse IFF provides pilots with a clear picture of friendly forces on the ground, thereby reducing the risk of friendly fire. Thales is the first company to offer an airborne system that gives a precise picture of the position of friendly forces in the moments before weapon engagement.

Thales has been awarded by the 35th Prix Chanson for its work in the field of optopyrotechnic initiation, with the creation of Shark. It deals with a countermeasures applications for the active protection of armoured vehicles and their occupants.

Dominique Attali presents us the Battlespace Transformation Center (BTC) capability, a tool available for armed forces to increase their efficiency by helping them think up new concepts and approaches in order to make relevant equipment and organizational decisions.

We will also discover @simov, a platform dedicated to design and evaluate future digitized close combat vehicle systems, with Philippe Mangin.

Laurent Maury, Vice President Services - Services Business Line, presents the NATO FOC+ (Full Operational Communications) service contract. This contract is awarded to Thales since late 2006, for the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) in Afghanistan.
