A significant event in the aerospace calendar, Farnborough International Air Show is firmly established as one of the largest aerospace exhibitions in the world. This year, it is being held from 14th-20th July, with public days on Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th.
During the previous Airshow in 2006, $40bn worth of orders were announced. Moreover, the Farnborough airfield accommodated almost 1500 exhibitors from 35 countries, 140 000 trade visitors Monday to Friday and 130 000 public visitors at the weekend. Similar figures are anticipated this year, as Farnborough International celebrates its 60th Anniversary and continues to build on its reputation as the worlds best Airshow for both business activity and aircraft technology demonstration.
Benefiting from an innovative ad campaign and fantastic new location at chalet S1, Thales will once again be demonstrating its position as world leader in mission critical systems. The striking four-floor glass structure will provide a superb base for both employees and guests to take full advantage of what the show has to offer in terms of trade, hospitality and entertainment.
Visitors to the chalet can expect to experience outstanding examples of Thales ability to deliver systems, services and comprehensive solutions tailored to the exact requirements of each customer across far-ranging markets including air transport, space and air defence. The ground floor showcases the group's civil and military capabilities with complementary external displays. The mezzanine floor features business meeting rooms, while the second floor is entirely dedicated to dining. The top floor houses the Executive Suite and features a bar with a roof terrace, offering spectacular views of all the action.
