This simplifies controlling and management significantly for the operators and makes travelling as convenient as possible for passengers: Passengers need only purchase a ticket and can use the ticket to pay for parking or even take care of shopping, thanks to our flexible solutions. If desired, all of these transactions can also be completed contactlessly, e.g. via mobile phone.
Components and Subsystems
Thales has gained the confidence of renowned customers with its high-quality components for use on board satellites for telecommunications, multimedia applications and in radar systems or missiles. Thales is the world leader in amplification systems for satellites, radar systems and missiles.
Today, Thales has manufactured more than 8,000 travelling wave tubes for use in space. The overall operating life of the tubes in these rough conditions exceeds 300 million hours. These system solutions are manufactured in our plant in Ulm.
Most news, television, earth surveillance and scientific satellites use travelling wave tubes from Thales. Our highlights in the field of science further include high-performance klystrons for fusion reactors and particle accelerators along with signal sources and imaging systems for radiological applications.
