Gilles Garczynski, graduated in political sciences (Sc Po Paris 1987), civil law (1986) and labour law DEA 1987). He started his career in the Labinal Group, now part of SAFRAN, in 1988.  

He joined the Bull Group in 1993 as HR Director, in charge of manufacturing and Bull Electronics, based in Angers (France).

In 1998, he moved to Matra Marconi Space, first as HR Director for France and then from 2000 to 2003, after the creation of EADS Astrium, as VP, HR for the Franco-German Space infrastructure activities and the equipment and subsystems business division.

In 2003, Gilles Garczynski joined Thales as VP, HR for the Business Group Airborne Systems. Mid 2004, he took the position of VP, HR Naval Division.
