Marion Broughton is now the managing director of the Thales UK Simulation activity.
After gaining a degree in Physics/Electronics Marion joined Racal Avionics in 1984 on the Graduate Programme. Marion started her career in Production and Materials management before moving into IT. She initiated a Product Support Organisation in Racal Defence. When Thales acquired Racal she took the position of Customer Support Director. Since then she has worked in civil and military customer services and in 2004 she was appointed Customer Services VP for the Thales Aerospace Division, with responsibility for Military Customer Services in France and the UK. As managing director for the Thales UK simulation activity, Marion has responsibility for around 1000 staff primarily engaged in fixed wing simulation in both the military and civil domains for a world-wide customer base. Pascal Cléré is now the managing director of the Thales France Simulation activity.
Pascal Cléré holds a PhD in Mathematics/Artificial Intelligence. Pascal began his career at the corporate research centre of Alcatel as the head in the area of Artificial Intelligence. From 1990 to 1998, he served in CEGELEC as Automation Department Head for power plants, utilities and metal industry applications. He then became Chief Operating Officer of Alcatel Transport Solutions Division. In 2004 Pascal became Chief Operating Officer of the Alcatel Integration and Services Division focused on worldwide telecommunication activities for carriers and private customers and was also the head of the Alcatel Transportation Vertical Market. In 2007 Pascal was appointed Operations Director of the new Thales Security Solutions and Services Division. As managing director for the Thales France simulation activity, Pascal has responsibility for around 600 staff primarily engaged in rotary wing and land vehicle simulation in both the military and civil domains for a world-wide customer base.
Michel Masselin is now Director, Training Solutions.
Michel joined Thales in 1984 as a software engineer having previously obtained his degree in aerospace engineering from the French Sup'Aéro, complemented by a Master of Science from USC California. After a few years of software development positions, he moved to Sales and Marketing and was heavily involved in several international programmes, creating several successful joint ventures. From 2000, he directed the Thales Land & Joint Systems Division's French sales team. In 2003 he transferred to Thales Training & Simulation to manage the French and European sales team with particular emphasis on the German NH90 PFI synthetic training service, which was successfully signed in 2004. He then took responsibility of the European defence services business unit. In his new role, Michel is responsible for the team formulation Thales training services solutions for a variety of customer requirements and business models on a word-wide bases.
All three roles report to Chris Gane, VP Training & Simulation who said "I am very pleased with these dynamic additions to the Thales Training & Simulation management team. These individuals bring strong customer focus and other strengths to the organization"

Dominique Gaiardo, who previously held the French position, is to focus on his role as Chief Operating Officer of the overall Training & Simulation business.
