Emmanuel studied telecommunications at the Institut Supérieur d'Electronique de Paris (ISEP). Prior to his appointment, he was a member of the ThalesRaytheonSystems Leadership Team, responsible for the overall management of ThalesRaytheonSystems' Air Command and Control Systems Program (ACCS LOC1).

Prior to becoming ACCS Program Director, Emmanuel was Director of Programs of the Weapon Systems Business Line within Thales Air systems.

Emmanuel joined Thales in 1981 as a software engineer. He has worked in various positions including Head of Land Armament and Helicopter Programs and then Director of Military Engineering and Programs, in the Simulation Business. He was also Director of Operations for Information Systems and Quality, where he set up a unique information system and carried out significant process harmonization across an international organization. Through his career, he has gained a huge international experience, both dealing with worldwide customers and being involved in Thales partnerships with European, UK and US companies.

Emmanuel was appointed VP Operations in March 2007.
