More than 45 years experience in Space Systems

Thales Alenia Space Antwerp is active in space technology since 1962.
Originally a division of Alcatel Bell, it became an autonomous subsidiary of the Alcatel Space group in 1998, which on its turn, with the alliance between Alcatel Space and Finmeccanica, became Alcatel Alenia Space in 2005.

In April 2007, the whole of Alcatel Alenia Space transformed into Thales Alenia Space upon the selling of the former Alcatel space activities to Thales. Since then, our company became Thales Alenia Space Antwerp.

Thales Alenia Space Antwerp develops systems, which initially accommodated the growing needs of the European space programme and have found application in a broad range of commercial space applications worldwide. Thales Alenia Space Antwerp provides expertise and system solutions for broadband access systems via satellites, satellite ground control stations for the reception of data from observation satellites and for the control of spacecraft, and test systems used during the integration of satellites.
