Drawing on Thales Portugal's proven project management expertise, the whole operation was done in record time as work started in July to reconfigure the interior space to Thales's specific requirements, with the last day at Cascais site on 26th October and the arrival day at Paço de Arcos site on 29th October.

On Monday 5th November, a wide company breakfast took place, hosted by the Country Corporate Director João Araújo. With the help of all the company directors, some welcome kits containing Thales branded pens, as well as memory sticks and a creative game on innovation were distributed to the 160 employees concerned.

This move was preceeded by news and information about this project to the employees, with the aid of an internal newsletter presenting the site, the building and layout, the surrounding area - parking, restaurants, public transport, best ways to get to the site, etc.

This move underpins efforts either already completed or under way to regroup or move sites in several countries in the framework of the integration programme launched by D3S since January 2007.
