Paul Davies, a Technical Manager based in Leicester, has been involved in Research and Development with Thales for many years, and is developing links with UK Universities as part of his responsibilities. He was appointed Royal Academy of Engineering Visiting Professor in Integrated System Design at Loughborough University in 2007. "I am absolutely delighted to join the board of this prestigious aerospace school, with which Thales France already has a good relationship. It is an essential part of Thales strategy to develop strategic partnerships with leading European Universities, and this is an early aim of ISAE. Their target partners include Cranfield University in the UK, with whom Thales Aerospace are partnered for the ASTRAEA research contract."
The stated aim of ISAE is to create a new generation of graduate engineers who have experience of the education system of more than one country, of living and working in more than one language, and of industrial placements in more than one European Aerospace company. As a leading player in this market, Thales strongly support this initiative.
