Jean-Loïc Galle joined Thales Air Systems in January 2007 as Vice President and General Manager of the Business Line Surface Radar.
Prior to this current position, Jean-Loïc Galle was Chief Executive Officer of Thales-Raytheon Systems SAS, as joint-venture between Raytheon and Thales wich is a worldwide leader in Air C2 systems.
Previously, Jean-Loïc Galle was Vice President and General Manager of the Military Avionics Business Line within Thales Avionics. As such, his responsibilities included management of a multi-national (France, UK, Germany) unit.
After having begun his career in 1985 as a software engineer, J.L Galle joined Sextan-Avionique, a French avionics company, in 1991 as Vice president in charge of Strategy, Mergers and Acquisitions and later went on to work as General Manager of the Navigation Systems Business Line.
After the company was acquired by Thales in 1996, he was appointed Vice President and General Manager of the Helicopter Avionics Business Unit, a worldwide-based unit dealing with both commercial and military helicopter businesses.
Jean-Loïc Galle received his Engineering Dilploma from the Ecole Centrale de Paris in 1982, and later went on to study for his MBA from INSEAD. In 2001, he was also awarded a Military Diploma from CHEAR (Centre des Hautes Etudes de l'Armement).
