Born in 1974, Markus Leutert has specialized in Political Science studying in Universities in Switzerland, the USA and the UK.

He started his career in 1999 as Corporate Development Manager in a Swiss IT company, in charge of governmental stakeholder relations. He has then held a number of positions in the communications field in various international companies, in particular as senior public relations consultant, acquiring a strong expertise in internal communications and media relations.

Markus joined Thales in 2005 as press officer and was then appointed head of corporate Media with a strong focus on developing communications in Germany and Brussels.

He has been appointed Communications Director of the Naval Division in January 2008.

A Swiss national, Markus has a strong international culture and is fluent in French, English and German.
