As Communications Director of the Division, Matt Pothecary is responsible for the worldwide communication activities of Air Systems : media relations, public relations, internal communications, executive communications, trade shows and corporate events.

Prior to his current position, Pothecary was member of the ThalesRaytheonSystems Leadership Team as Communications Director. He previously worked in the Marketing and Communications department for the Services Business Line within the Thales Land and Joint Systems Division. He joined Thales in 2000 as Press Officer in the Corporate Communications department. In this role he took part in numerous key international projects including the creation of ThalesRaytheonSystems.  He was responsible for coordinating strategic communication actions between Thales Corporate Communication, Thales UK and Thales North America.

On leaving University, Pothecary, worked in France as an English language teacher in a French University, before joining XRT-CERG Finance as a technical writer and translator.

He received his bachelors degree in Political Science from Loughborough University before studying for his Masters Degree at l'Université de Nancy II. He was also awarded a M.Phil. in English and North American Studies from the same university in 1997.
