Ethical behaviour, equal opportunities and energy conservation

CONTACT
Thales UK conducts its business in a responsible and ethical manner. We are committed to equal opportunities, the conservation of natural resources and the support of selected charities.
Business ethics

Thales is an ethical company. Everything that we do - in every field and at every level - is governed by a written Code of Ethics. The code is administered by a dedicated organisation, which is chaired by the Corporate Secretary and supported by a network of Ethics Managers drawn from each business group.

Equal opportunities
Thales embraces diversity. The company welcomes male and female applicants of all abilities, from all races, backgrounds and beliefs. In addition, we operate a strict equal opportunities policy, hiring and promoting on the basis of merit alone.
Energy and the environment
Thales believes in protecting the environment. Our procurement team actively pursues and promotes a company-wide 'green' products and services policy. Our energy efficiency programme has won the support of the National Industrial Fuel Efficiency Service (NIFES) and the Carbon Trust, and we operate LGP-fuelled vans as well as the environmentally-friendly Toyota Prius and the Honda Civic hybrids in our vehicle fleet.
Charity
Thales believes in 'giving back'. We are actively and energetically involved with a number of youth, education and technology charities, including Marie Curie Cancer Care, YouthNet and The National Deaf Children's Society (NDCS). We also support and encourage the charity fundraising efforts of all our employees who, as teams and individuals, make substantial contributions to dozens of charities every year.
