Thales signs 10 year commitment with CareerTrackers

Thales Australia has signed a 10-year commitment with CareerTrackers that will see no less than 10 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander university students intern across the business each year.

Career Trackers is an Indigenous internship program that provides Indigenous university students with a structured internship program and professional career development. The national not-for-profit has been in operation for 11 years and has over 1000 professionals in their Alumni community.

“Thales’s long-term commitment is more than a pledge to provide internships and work opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students – they’re tangible actions to build a culture of respect, promote diversity across our business and demonstrate Thales Australia’s commitment to reconciliation.”

Ronan Carolan, Vice President, Human Resources, Thales Australia

“Our goal is to create pathways and support systems for young Indigenous Australians to attend and graduate from university, with industry experience and bright professional futures. We are delighted to have Thales Australia believe in our students and in our vision of preparing young Indigenous Australians to take up leadership positions by making a 10 year commitment to our community."

Jennifer Elliott, Executive Director, Career Trackers Australia.
