Thales Canada Is Being Honored with an Award for their Support to the Cadet Program

On November 18, the Canadian Forces Liaison Council (CFLC) presented the Employer Support Award to Mr. Michel Lamarche, General Manager, Thales Canada, Defence and Security, Optronics, in recognition of his support to the Canadian Cadet Program. 

Lieutenant-Colonel André F Raymond holds the highest position on a summer camp, Commanding Officer of the Valcartier Cadet Training Centre. His employer, Thales Canada, gives him the opportunity, time and flexibility to occupy this role that has a direct impact on more than two thousand young people and three hundred members of the Cadet Instructor Cadre and civilian personnel. 
 
The Canadian Cadet Program offers young people from 12 to 18 years old free opportunities to develop leadership among young Canadians. Through safe activities, cadets learn to meet the challenges of a modern and competitive society.
The CFLC is a group of educators and civil sector business leaders who devote time and energy to promote Canada’s Reserve Force by highlighting the benefits acquired by the work place from the training and experience gained within the Reserve.
