There are many challenges for Communications: the development, multiplication and fast evolution in the various ways of communication (social networks, internet..), the complexity of maintaining relations with customers and employees, the understanding of their needs, the evolution of technology and communication techniques which must be managed by Communications in order to fulfil their role in helping the evolution of the company.
This function is composed of:

External Communications

Devising external communications strategy and developing communications plans. They measure the impact and efficiency of the communications actions and support marketing and sales initiatives aimed at external stakeholders.

Internal Communications

The team generates an understanding of the business activities and objectives of the Group among employees. They are involved in internal events and provide necessary information regarding the Groups strategy.

E-Communications

Contributing to the promotion of Thales’ image via online media. They provide creative expertise to the communications department and contribute to the creation and maintenance of specific sites e.g. blogs, twitter, Facebook and inform employees of Group activities through internal channels.

Media Relations

Press Officers are responsible for promoting the Group’s image, brand, commercial successes, products and people in the media. They advise the Communications Departments during the communications planning phase, specifically on media strategy. They implement initiatives, including both generalist and trade media at national and international levels. Initiatives include acting spokesman, interviews and media events (tradeshows, press trips, briefings and conferences).

The Exhibitions and Events team create, implement and manage Thales’ participation at trade shows and external events such as Euronaval, Bourget (Paris Air Show) and Eurosatory.
