Software is becoming an increasingly important part of Thales and contributes to the excellence of its systems. Whether it's as part of the development of embedded software, or as part of the creation of decision support systems, or information systems, the Software offers employees the global vision of our customers' business.
Indeed, working at Thales means participating in a real technical adventure and integrating solutions in an environment suitable for co-engineering.
The workers of this family are required to create both aircraft and satellite critical software, as well as transaction security software for banks and cloud security... all whilst considering the latest innovations in human-machine interactions.
Software is everyone’s business. Know-how, its reinforcement and its transmission are above all human skills that all engineers worthy of the name must cultivate and protect.
Software Architecture
Software Architecture is technically responsible for the Software architecture and its consistency throughout the project. They ensure that the software architecture is stabilised and maintained. They co-ordinate the product definition, prepare the design and identify modelling, simulation and prototyping opportunities.
Software Expert
A Software Expertise Engineer has specific expertise covering dedicated techniques and technologies, specialities and particular domains of activity. They bring state of the art expertise for their field and has the ability to make meaningful trade-offs between requirements during all the development stages of a Thales solution.
Software Engineer
The Software Engineer develops innovative software solutions to our client’s problems by understanding the customer’s needs. They contribute to the formalisation of the mission, the architectural design and requirements and designs products on the basis of calculations and simulations.
Cloud Ops Engineering
The Cloud Ops Engineering Roles design, install, and maintain the cloud systems, applying their technical knowledge to solve a variety of technological issues and challenges. They are responsible for testing, configuring and troubleshooting software and networking systems to meet identified needs. They take care of all the technical workload related to cloud hosting and computing.
Cybersecurity Engineer and Advisory Roles
The Cybersecurity Engineer and Advisory Roles uphold the projects, products, services and/or customers ISSP (Information Systems Security Policy). They provide tools and the resources needed to ensure and deploy the security requirement
The Cybersecurity Architecture Roles work on complex systems provided by Thales. They provide specialist security architecture, technical leadership and guidance, to enable Thales to devise, develop and maintain reliable, secure, accreditable and economically sustainable security solutions to meet the project needs. They work alongside other specialist engineers and architects to provide the right security solution to meet customer requirements.
Software DevSecOps
The Software DevSecOps Engineering Roles are focused on building and running secure applications in an Agile manner and secure environment. They are accountable of their application from its design, development to its incident management, going through automated testing, automated deployment, live monitoring & alerting and Key Performance Indicators tracking.
