That is why we are committed to creating an inclusive workplace that supports your professional development so you can help us meet our customers' challenges in the best possible work environment.
Teach and learn
We help you to improve and expand your skill sets, in particular by making sure you benefit from the transmission of knowledge and know-how from our most experienced staff.
And throughout your career, we provide valuable training opportunities in technical, management and many other fields.
A total of 12 corporate university campuses in our largest countries of operation organise regular seminars, training sessions and workshops for employees.
The Group also offers online training, in particular through its uLearn platform.
All employees have access to e-learning programmes that help them identify the training they need to support their future development and enhance their skills.
In 2021, more than 980,000 hours of training were provided (an average of 12 hours of training per employee), including nearly 136,000 hours of training via virtual classes.
Thales actively works to support women's career opportunities and their promotion to leadership positions, and senior managers of the Group are involved in an international mentorship programme dedicated to women.
Thales also has 46 local WiTh (We In Thales) networks, which aim to encourage gender equality in the workplace.
Last but not least, joining Thales means finding a unique career path with untold opportunities, creating a professional adventure that could take you from the bottom of the ocean to the limits of space and cyberspace and offer you the potential to explore new roles and work in other countries or regions.

Don’t be surprised if you bump into a Nobel prize winner while working at Thales!
Not many companies in the world can boast two winners of the Nobel Prize in Physics: Albert Fert, who discovered giant magnetoresistance with Peter Grundberg, and Gérard Mourou, the inventor (with Donna Strickland) of a technique known as chirped pulse amplification, which creates ultra-short, very high-intensity laser pulses.
