France: Thales on podium of preferred companies for graduates

Students from leading schools and universities have placed the Group in third place in a list of ideal companies to work for.

Conducted by the Quatre Vents agency in partnership with the Le Figaro Economie newspaper supplement, this survey boasts a very different methodology from similar investigations. The survey is undertaken amongst a very large sample size of students at different levels and at a wide range of institutions, and also includes graduates from these same establishments who are now in a first, second or third job.

Over 10,000 participants were asked to pick the companies they consider to be ‘benchmark employers’ amongst a list of 117 companies identified according to their levels of recruitment.

In the list of benchmark companies for the students and graduates of the country’s 'grandes écoles’ (both Business and Engineering schools), Thales took third place ahead of compnies such as Airbus, Microsoft and Safran.

  1. Total
  2. EDF
  3. Thales

Being a benchmark employer is vital for the recruitment of talents who are courted by many other companies,” commented Vincent Mattei, Recruitment and Mobility Manager for Thales in France.

The third position in this listing is a reflection of the Group’s diversified strategy of attraction which involves the strengthening of traditional channels such as job forums in schools and the development of recruitment drives on social networks and the Group’s mobile application.
