Australian SME Janusnet wins contract with Thales in North America

Sydney based Janusnet, a market leader in data classification and protection software, has partnered with Thales in North America (NORAM) to enforce email and document security classification across their organisation.

Established in 2004, Janusnet realised that empowering workforces to classify communications and information quickly and easily, meant better data security outcomes across any organisation. Their first Janusseal product was released in 2005 and has since expanded and evolved to meet the needs of its customers across various industries and regions.

When Thales North America (NORAM)  CISO, Eric Liebowitz, was seeking to implement a system in the region that would comply with Thales Group’s Information Protection policy, Thales Australia representatives, who actively promote the use of Australian SME’s in the company’s global supply chain (GSC), introduced Janusnet to the mix. They, alongside competing offerings, were assessed in the areas of capability, support, user experience and price. Following careful evaluation and a successful pilot program, the Janusseal product was selected.

Liebowitz said ‘We were looking for a system that would deliver fast, easy protection without hindering user workflow, and the team at Janusnet went above and beyond to accommodate and satisfy the requirements of the Thales NORAM operations. They were extremely responsive and performed a number of added value tasks for us while we were piloting their solution’

Alan Schaverien, Commercial Operations Director at Janusnet added, “The whole Janusnet team is delighted our data classification software, Janusseal, was selected by Thales NORAM. Their deployment will help meet the many business requirements in controlling the access and flow of information. Janusseal is uniquely placed to help global defence contractors in this regard.”

The Janusseal product also delivers additional value by providing business lines document and technology specific security labelling capabilities that support their specific business areas, furthering streamlining operations.

This is a significant accomplishment for the Janusnet team who have won this contract on the merit of their capabilities, against tough competition’ said Janice Marshall, Thales GSC program representative in NORAM. I look forward to working with them as we continue to promote Janusseal across other regions.
