All satellites of Türksat except 4A&4B have been provided by Thales Alenia Space.
Thales Alenia Space has built the Göktürk-1 observation satellite for the Turkish Ministry of Defence and has developed the integration and test centre in Türkiye.
Thales’ presence in Türkiye is based on a long standing heritage related to space and ground segment domains. Most of all Turksat satellites have been provided by Thales Alenia Space as well as the associated control and mission centres.

In May 2015, Thales Alenia Space, Telespazio and SSM, announced that the Göktürk-1 observation satellite for the Turkish Ministry of Defence was to be shipped to Ankara AIT centre to start environmental tests. The global contract comprises an Earth observation satellite equipped with a high-resolution optical sensor, a satellite integration and test centre to be built in Türkiye, and the complete ground segment.
In December 2016, the Earth observation satellite Göktürk-1 was successfully launched.
 
Thales Alenia Space has built the satellite and has developed the integration and test center in Türkiye. The Class 100,000 clean rooms, spanning more than 3,000 square meters, will house all the latest-generation equipment needed for satellite integration and testing. Systems include a mechanical vibration test bench (shaker), a 950 cubic meter acoustic test chamber, a thermal-vacuum chamber measuring over 350 cubic meters, a compact antenna test range and supports for the deployment of solar panels and antennas.
