Transforming terminal air traffic management for the UK Ministry of Defence
The UK Ministry of Defence (MOD) has awarded Thales UK a £1.5 billion contract to deliver Project Marshall to ensure a safer, more efficient and sustainable Air Traffic Management (ATM) service for the UK’s armed forces.
Over the project’s 22 year life-span, ATM will be modernised at more than 100 MOD locations in the UK and overseas.
Delivering Project Marshall through Aquila
We will deliver those improvements in partnership with the UK’s National Air Traffic Services (NATS) in a joint venture, AQUILA.
Aquila brings together the best-in-class providers of ATM systems and services to deliver, in project Marshall, the optimum solution for UK military air operations now and for the future.
Thales UK is drawing on its extensive experience delivering mission critical services to the MOD, which demands 24/7 service availability and the completion of major upgrades to infrastructure that’s in constant use.
