Defence in Oman

In 2012 Thales has been awarded a contract to supply sensors and a combat management system for Royal Navy of Oman Al-Ofouq patrol vessels build by the Singaporean shipyard ST-Marine.
From 2013 till 2015, Thales has been awarded several contracts to provide various types of communication equipment and surveillance sensors to the armed and security forces of the Sultanate of Oman.

• Thales is a prime supplier of communication equipment to the Omani Armed Forces and Security Services.
• Thales’s sensors and Tacticos Combat Management System is mounted on-board the ST Marine built Al-Ofouq patrol vessels. The four vessels will embark the STIR EO Mk2 radar and the Vigile R-ESM solution.
• Supplier of sensors and combat management system for Royal Navy of Oman ships.
• Main supplier of electronic warfare sensors to Royal Navy of Oman and Royal Air Force of Oman.
