Thales has supplied Dubai and Abu Dhabi with some of the most advanced security and telecommunication systems on the planet, making the UAE a safer place. Significant projects include:
  • Dubai International airport Terminal 3 concourse 2 and concourse A – In January 2013, Thales delivered an ultra-modern communication and security solution to Concourse A, the new dedicated A380 airside facility in Dubai International Airport. Thales has been responsible for integrating all the systems needed to deliver a fully interlinked and connected 600,000m² building with end-to-end security.
  • Secure electronic payment solutions – The Group has supplied thousands of electronic payment terminals to Emirati banks, greatly improving efficiency and system-safety.
  • Cybersecurity systems – In 2013, Injazat Data Systems and Thales began their alliance by working on an advanced and innovative cybersecurity system which will be offered to UAE companies. Injazat and Thales are now working together to address the key cyber risks that businesses face on a daily basis, whilst helping strengthen company cybersecurity operations.
More recently, Thales has been able to sign important contracts affecting not only the UAE but the Gulf region itself. Thales Group has partnered with Abu Dhabi Ship Building to provide maintenance, repair services to naval forces across the region as it diversifies away from vessel construction.
