DKU

Thales manufactures DKU (Display Keyboard Unit) equipment for all NH90 helicopters thanks to a global agreement.

The DKU is an electronic device controlled by a keyboard, consisting of an LCD display whose function is to serve as an interface between the pilot and the helicopter for mission control and management.

One of the main functionalities of the unit is the control of the communications subsystem configuration, which is performed via bus 1553.

In addition, the DKU is capable of generating its own symbology. In the TTH tactical trasnport version, it incorporates two units in the cockpit, while in the NFH naval version it adds from 1 to 3 additional units in the transport cabin.
