    JOB OBJECTIVE
    Le attività in carico alla risorsa si svolgono prevalentemente in trasferta, sia in Italia che all’estero, presso i siti di installazione del cliente, quali principalmente aeroporti civili e militari o postazioni esterne ad essi riconducibili, in cui si trovano i sistemi di aiuto alla navigazione aerea e di atterraggio strumentale o altri prodotti da noi forniti.
    Nello specifico consistono in:

    JOB OBJECTIVE
    He/she will be in charge of the identification of the main research tenders in Defense and Military Research at local, national and international level and of the coordination of activities relevant to proposals preparation to answer the bids.     Job Objective

    The On field Service Engineer (OfSE) for Underwater Systems at Thales will manage and implement the on field delivery phase and the following maintenance phase.
    During the on field delivery phase She/He will supervise and support the installation and perform system tests campaign up to the final customer acceptance, including writing specifications, conducting testing, reporting and investigating defects.
    During the maintenance phases She/He will manage and implement the maintenance program and will act as first level of customer technical support for troubleshooting and defect investigation.
    In close coordination with the System Engineering Manager, the Project Manager and the other team members, She/He will be responsible for all the Service Engineering activities ensuring the predefined results on time, within the budget and with the expected level of Quality.


    Key Responsibilities

    She/He will:

    • Define the Service Engineering activities (on field delivery and maintenance) and contribute to the relevant Service Engineering Management Plan (SvEMP).
    • Formalize service requirements, if necessary in terms of safety, cost of ownership or logistic support of the Solution.
    • Specify, choose and deploy methodologies (including metrics), diagnostic tools and platforms necessary to Service Engineering and acceptance activities.
    • Decline service requirements to the various actors of the organization including the responsible of the concerned elementary services.
    • Ensure the implementation of the Service Engineering activities.
    • Analyze interfaces between subsystems, assuring the right definition and implementation.
    • Ensure all the testing activities for the project, including: preparing test plans strategy documents, recording test results and investigating and verifying defects identified.
    • Work closely with the Customers to gain solution final acceptance.
    • Ensure the implementation of the Maintenance program.
    • During the maintenance phases, She/He will act as the first level of customer technical support for troubleshooting and defect investigation.


    Skills, Experience and Qualifications

    • Engineer with a professional experience (min. 5 years) in performing on field integration and service activities on large systems integration projects in the application domain (sonars for surface vessels, mine countermeasures systems, acoustic homing heads, underwater security and protection, etc.).
    • Able to manage Navy customers and Suppliers relationships.
    • Deep knowledge of System Engineering discipline and processes and CMMI principles.
    • Fluency in Italian and English language is mandatory.
    • Knowledge of French language is well appreciated.


    Specific Technical Skills required

    • Knowledge of the main technologies and subsystems used to implement Underwater Integration. Projects (Sonars, Radars, Communication Systems, Command and Control).

    • Monitora mensilmente i criteri di profitto del progetto ed identifica/mette in atto i necessari piani d’azione per massimizzare il profitto.
    • Supervisiona (e se necessario coordina) l’attività di cantiere (curendo speciciatemente le fasi di installazione, testing e messa in servizio) per impianti “greenfield” and “brownfield”
    • Coordina e partecipa attivamente alla fase di validazione e verifica del sistema sia in factory che in sito, al fine di ottenere la validazione del cliente, e la messa in servizio dell’impianto.
    • Coordina e supporta il System Engineer e il Customer Service nelle fasi di commissioning, maintenance e warranty.
    • Assicura che vengano rispettate tutte le procedure adottate in ambito ferroviario, che in alcuni casi prevedono lavori su sistemi in esercizio, in particolare relative all’accesso ai vari locali o aree del progetto, ai metodi adottati per garantire la corretta esecuzione delle attività rispettando tutte le norme relative alla sicurezza nei cantieri ed il rispetto delle norme ambientali, etc.
    • Assume il ruolo di direttore tecnico di cantiere per gli aspetti relativi alla Sicurezza per il progetto (progetti) di propria competenza).
    • Assicura l’aderenza delle risorse ai valori-chiave aziendali, al Codice Etico, Chorus e normative di Health, Security, Safety, Environment (HSE).
    • Rappresenta l’azienda e specificatamente il progetto di fronte al Cliente assicurandogli le soluzioni acquistate e i risultati richiesti.
