Thales has developed innovative vibrating inertial sensor technology based on silicon detectors. This accelerometer measures changes in the vibration frequency of the resonator caused by the threat exerted by the proof mass as the vehicle accelerates. A vibrating beam accelerometer operates by measuring the change in the resonant frequency of a vibrating beam when subjected to acceleration.
The beam's vibration frequency shifts in response to inertial forces, which are then converted into electrical signals. These signals are processed to determine the acceleration, making it a reliable tool for precision measurement in various industrial and scientific applications.
