More performant
With an operative range of over 200 NM, the TACAN 5x is capable of managing over 200 aircrafts simultaneously! Compatible with all existing airborne TACAN interrogators on the market, it benefits of an excellent receiver sensitivity to maximize down link coverage.
TACAN 5x uses the new LDMOS technology. Higher stability and accuracy due to digital signal generation and control.
Logistic support
Thales provides global logistics support and technical assistance for the DME equipment.
Thales' extension of industrial and technology capabilities
Thales expands through the acquisition of Navigation Aids business of Moog Company, its navigation aids business with additional TACAN products offering.
Thales extends its navigation aids strategy with the 2010 Series TACAN deployed with thousands of worldwide installations in military projects. Through this acquisition, Thales can offer its military customers an additional “man-portable” technology.
NAVIGATE WITH CONFIDENCE WITH THE TACAN MM7000 Series
MM7000 - RUGGEDIZED TACAN SYSTEM FOR HARSH ENVIRONMENTS
The MM-7000 is the full service TACAN beacon available today. Best suited for ruggedized operations in harsh environments, it is shipboard certified, meeting MIL-STD-901D for shock, MIL-STD-167 for vibration and MIL-STD-810G for temperature. The MM-7000 is available in fixed base, shipboard and mobile configurations, and operates in TACAN, silent, demand and DME-only modes. The system is available in 29”, 43” and 60” high racks as single and dual transponder configurations, and can be used independently or with existing navigational aids. Its modular state-of-the-art design includes surface mount technology components, digital signal processing and soft-fail RF power amplifiers to maximize performance. The MM-7000 TACAN/DME is available as US Navy AN/URN-32 kit or installed in AN/URN-25 cabinet and drawer, is fully compliant with STANAG 5034, Mil-Std-291C and ICAO Annex 10, and offers low maintenance, high reliability and ease of use.
MM 7000 MP - RUGGEDIZED MAN PORTABLE TACAN FOR HARSH ENVIRONMENTS
Designed for ruggedized operations in harsh environments is shipboard certified and is available in fixed-base, shipboard, mobile and man-portable configurations. It operates in TACAN, demand and DME modes. The system can be used independently or with existing navigational aids.
The MM-7000MP is the lightest, smallest, and most mobile/portable TACAN ground-station available today.
The man portable TACAN system consists of the model MM-7000MP beacon-transponder, AS-4502 man portable TACAN antenna, and antenna tripod.
The complete system fits into three carrying cases, is easy to setup, and is fully operational within minutes of arrival at a forward, unprepared tactical position.
A remote control status unit (RCSU) is also available which provide remote capabilities through a twisted pair or wireless connection.
Its modular, state of the art design includes surface mount technology components, field programmable gate arrays and digital signal processing to maximize performance.
Large scale integrated circuitry and miniaturization, utilizing the same modules as the other TACAN systems in the MM-7000 family, reduce cost and allow for flexible configuration. Pulse shape and spectrum are controlled by an agile digital feedback control loop to keep the signal in space within permissible limits in all operation conditions.
2010 TACAN - HIGH-PERFORMANCE TACAN FOR FIXED BASE AND MOBILE APPLICATIONS
