Thales Nederland obtains certification for the CO2-Performance ladder

Thales Nederland has received  the CO2 Awareness certificate for achieving level 5 on the CO2 Perfomance Ladder. By obtaining the certificate, Thales Nederland shows that they are actively working on CO2 reduction.

Thales Nederland wants to reduce CO2 emissions and the consumption of scarce resources as a result of the production and delivery of its products. Thales has been working on this for several years. This year it was decided to implement this even further in the organization with the help of the CO2 Performance Ladder.

The CO2 Performance Ladder is a leading instrument in the Dutch market as a sustainability instrument. Stimulating companies to do something with the CO2 reduction themselves, that is the idea behind the CO2 Performance Ladder. The CO2 Performance Ladder has five levels, rising from 1 to 5. The more a company makes an effort to reduce CO2 emissions, the higher the position on the ladder. With the achievement of step 5 on the ladder, Thales Nederland shows that it is one of the leaders in the field of sustainable business.

This position and ambition is underlined by the objective of Thales Nederland to reduce its own footprint by 73% in 2021 compared to 2014. And to simultaneously achieve structural CO2 reduction, together with suppliers and buyers.

Thales Nederland CEO Gerben Edelijn: "I am very proud of obtaining this certificate. As a company we take our responsibility to become increasingly sustainable. Our task is to manage the risks and to minimize the negative effects of our activities and products. Our employees, the environment and our customers are key. We are showig this with the CO2 Performance Ladder certificate”.
