    Key Responsabilities and principle tasks

     

    Design and development of passive RF low power devices: filters, couplers, diplexers, circulators, power dividers, etc.

    Part of the work will take place in the laboratory, tuning and testing devices.

    Programming of Matlab routines oriented to circuital synthesis of devices.

    Design documentation / User manual of the implemented routines.

    Position Summary – Key Responsibilities And Main Tasks

    The successful candidate will work in a highly innovative environment and will participate in international projects for software production for space applications in a multi-disciplinary team of engineers. 

     

    The tasks will include:

    For Thales Alenia Space in Spain (Madrid) we are looking for a Support Engineer for Big Scientific Installations Projects (m/f).

    Key Responsibilities:

    Support the CTO office in the following tasks:

    • Business Development on the sector of Nuclear Research Installations and on Big Scientific Installations (ITER, CERN, SKA…)
    • Identify commercial and R&D opportunities in this target market leveraging on the Space technologies and on the Company background
    • Develop partnerships with scientific institutes and other scientific actors in the target market
    • Interact with national authorities for this target market
    • Build consortiums and prepare commercial proposals for the identified opportunities

    Education & Qualifications:

     

    Physics or Engineering grade with background in one or more of the following fields:

    • Nuclear energy
    • High energy physics

  • Procurement Manager
    Graduate - Spain

    Description

     

    For Thales Alenia Space in Spain in Madrid we are looking for a Procurement Manager (m/f).

    Key Responsibilities:

     

    • Is responsible, within the assigned projects, for all procurement activities whether within a bid phase (bid phase, preparation of RFIs/RRFs/RFQs, negotiations with bidders, bidder selection up to contract signature) or within a running contract phase (from kick-off up to contract closure).
    • Is responsible within running contracts for the follow-up of the subcontractors and the execution in schedule (OTD), performance (OQD) and cost (OCD).
    • Works with a team-spirit transversally inside TAS-E and with other units of the TAS group and THALES, as applicable.
    • The position applies to institutional (ESA projects) as well as export programs in Earth Observation, Telecommunication and Science.
    • The Procurement Manager belongs to the Procurement Department and its daily work is performed within the projects.

     

     

    Specific tasks:

     

    • Interfaces between partner companies / subcontractors and internal customers within bid phases and running projects.
    • Ensures, when involved in a bid (RFI, RFP, ITT…), that the applicable competitive tender processes are applied and, with the support of the bid team, that related documentation is generated (e.g. draft contracts, NDAs, Statement of Work, Statement of Compliances, PSS sheets…).
    • Evaluates relevant bidder proposals, chairs or attends relevant Tender Evaluation Boards (TEBs).
    • Participates to subcontractor audits.
    • Follows-up running subcontracts (schedule, contract change process…) by establishing program control with the subcontractors to ensure that the targets (OTD, OCD & OQD) are met.
    • Reports to internal and external customers on subcontract status for offer phases and running projects where involved.
    • Works cooperatively with all the stakeholders involved in the procurement process such as PMO, Purchase, Supply Management, Bid management, System Engineering Management and Sub-system Management.
    • Ensures that the rules such as ESA BPs, internal rules and processes are consistently applied in all procurement processes.
    • Contributes to cost to value, make vs. buy processes.


    Required skills:

     

    • Degree in Physics, Engineering , Business or similar.

    Position Summary – Key responsabilities and principle tasks 


    • Design and development of radio-communication building blocks (modulators, demodulators, power amplifiers, filters, antennas), from the first BB prototype up to the support to the production.
    • Design validation according to the established plan (simulation, bread boarding, ..), Perform  all the associated analysis (WCA, EMC,..) and technical documentation (technical description, IDS, tuning & testing procedure)
    • Interaction with customer and with internal departments in the company (project management, quality, manufacturing)
    • Assurance of compliance of customer technical requirements in a frame of cost and lead time optimization

    Education & Qualifications


    • Telecommunication Engineer with demonstrated background in electronics, radio-communication and telecommunication systems.
    • Spanish, mother tongue, English essential, French would be a plus. 

    Skills and ideal experience


    • Knowledge about filters synthesis and modeling.
    • Experience in design and/or development of power dividers, test coupler and passive components.
    • Lab experience
