Thales is a partner of the new European Hub that will transform Portugal's mobility ecosystem

EIT Urban Mobility, an entity of the  European Institute of Innovation and Technology, arrives in Portugal to raise awareness of mobility issues, promote innovative ideas and solutions and encourage positive changes to improve the traffic situation and solve other urban mobility problems across the country.

Thales Portugal is a partner of the Hub in Portugal together with IASA. This new program, which will use Portuguese cities as laboratories, to prove that technological innovation, combined with entrepreneurial spirit and talent, can solve real problems of cities, turning mobility more intelligent and transforming urban areas into more livable places.

The lunch of this program will be on the 15th of October and will feature presentations by the Innovation expert of Thales in Portugal, João Mira, the EIT Urban Mobility RIS (Regional Innovation Scheme) Manager, Bence Huba, by the Head of Business Development at BGI, Sofia Fernandes, by the Professor at Técnico University of Lisbon, Rosário Macário, between others.

The webinar will aim to present EIT Urban Mobility and the activities planned for Portugal.

Since January 2019, EIT Urban Mobility has been working to encourage positive changes in the way people move around cities. This entity aims to be the largest European initiative to transform urban mobility, co-financed from up to €400 million (2020-2026) from the EIT in order to make cities more prosperous places
