Thales entered the ranking by prestigious journal Nature of the 100 companies that most stand out for the quality of their scientific research. Thales ranks 27th worldwide, far ahead of all other companies in its field of activity.
This unique achievement was the highlight in Formidable Shield 2017, an integrated air and missile defence exercise organized by the US Navy’s Sixth Fleet in the Hebrides test range in the Atlantic Ocean.
Thales has, at the end of august and for the first time, successfully tested the new European Train Control System ‘ETCS signal-controlled’(ETCS Level 1 Limited Supervision) at the border between Germany and Switzerland, adjacent to the Cargo Corridor A (Rotterdam – Genoa).
Thales was ranked third best amongst 41 suppliers in the annual Airbus Supplier Support Rating 2016. The rating is based on a direct survey conducted by Airbus of more than 150 customer airlines worldwide.
