Consulting

What we offer goes beyond infrastructure, technology, and services.

With a system-of-systems approach, we help customers enable recurring operations within the regulatory and policy environment; meet aviation standards for safety, maintenance, and cybersecurity; enable use cases that result in measurable economic and societal value; and provide the foundational building blocks for future advanced mobility (UAM/AAM). We're demonstrating many of these capabilities today in various UTM initiatives worldwide.

Journey to routine and safe BVLOS operations

Our experts will start by measuring the economic impact that drone operations will bring to your territory, calculating the potential number of UAS operations and advising you on the best possible use cases. They will also be able to assist you in defining your business plan so that your project is economically viable, and provide support in the search for funds from organizations and authorities. They will define with you a vision and a dedicated team and they will select a first test site adapted to your project. Once the project is well under way, they’ll evaluate local, national, and global providers to come up with the right mix of capabilities that fulfill the Concept of operations and to integrate their assets to our solution. Consequently, the approach we promote fosters the creation of local ecosystems dedicated to testing and drone initiatives.

Operational Risk Assessment

Operational Risk Assessment is mandatory for any UAS Operator to obtain the approval for BVLOS operations.

Some of the fundamental steps include:

  • Estimation of air risk expressed as the risk of a collision between the UAS and a manned aircraft
  • Estimation of ground risk expressed as the risk of the UAS to hit the ground or a critical ground infrastructure

The Airspace Characterization service allows an UAS Operator and/or an authority to obtain data allowing the quantitative estimation of air risk in a specific airspace. By using a mix of historical and simulated data of air traffic flows, the service publishes air risk map that represents the probability of encountering a manned aircraft in the airspace. It allows:

  • For an UAS operator, to estimate and document the air risk to obtain approval to fly BVLOS and to plan the flight trajectory accordingly
  • For an authority, to verify the UAS Operator air risk estimation to approve the approval request

This air risk analysis, coupled with that of the surveillance infrastructure already existing in your territory, also helps to identify the zones on which additional radar coverage is essential and to design safe drone corridors.

Drone operations

Missing the skills or workload to manage drone operations requests in your area or responsibility? We can help. We will be able to approve, reject and manage authorizations for drone flights on your behalf. Thus, you can focus entirely on your main missions and we will keep you informed only when in case of emergency.
