The Thales Canada’s Student Innovation Championship is an annual competition designed to challenge university level students to tackle problems in industry giving them insight into the problems real companies face every day.
Students are asked to present an innovative solution that solves a theoretical customer challenge, create an 8 minute presentation and then pitch the idea to industry representatives. The winning team will receive $20,000, the second team will receive $10,000 and third one will receive $5,000.
In 2017, the topic is Cybersecurity, and the competition is open to undergraduate university students– and from those entries, one team will be chosen as a winner.
