We know that the events of this last year and the impacts of COVID-19 have been challenging and unsettling for many people. We want to reassure you that the safety and wellbeing of our employees and our candidates is our priority. At Thales we’re very passionate about our Early Careers opportunities and are pleased to still be hiring despite the on-going pandemic.
In line with government guidelines and our commitment to safety, all selection and assessment activities for our graduate and apprentice roles will be carried out virtually with no face-to-face contact. We are confident that you will still get the opportunity to explore why Thales is such a great place to work, through the conversations and interactions you have with the team.
Supporting applicants with a disability or long-term condition
Thales UK is recognised as a Disability Confident Leader company with the Department of Work and Pensions. We are also members of Business Disability Forum, which helps us with our commitment to become a disability-smart organisation.
We actively encourage disabled people to apply for our roles and are committed to providing an inclusive and barrier-free recruitment process. If you need any adjustments or would like us to do anything differently during the recruitment process, please contact us.
Additionally, if you have a disability or require additional assistance in completing an application, please email us and we would be happy to arrange a call back with one of our friendly Early Careers team who will assist you with your application.
Disability confident scheme
As a Disability Confident company in the UK, we ensure that a fair and proportionate number of disabled applicants, who meet our minimum criteria for a job, will be offered an interview. You’ll need to tell us that you have a disability and you wish to opt-in for this scheme when you apply.
Disability Confident means that a fair and proportionate number of disabled applicants who meet the minimum criteria for the job will have an interview. It doesn’t mean that every disabled applicant is entitled to an interview.
In some recruitment situations such as high-peak times, we might need to limit the overall numbers of interviews we offer. This will include the number of interviews offered to disabled people who meet the minimum criteria. When that happens, we’ll still aim to offer a proportionate number of interviews to disabled applicants.
Please note that this scheme is currently only applicable to our graduate roles.

At Thales, we want all our applicants to have the very best chance in succeeding with their application. This is why we have created some helpful guides to help support applicants through the process. In the Supporting Documents below you will find useful tips on how to prepare an application and what to expect from our assessment centres.
