Growth through collaboration – building a maritime ecosystem

Through the launching of the Maritime Ecosystems Initiative, Thales is seeking to strengthen collaboration with key industrial partners across its UK supply chain.

Held on the 5th June in Bristol, the initiative brought and over 40 key industrial partners together to openly discuss the challenges and opportunities for further collaboration. Looking ahead, investing in partnerships today will be key to driving future growth and excellence across the maritime industry. As Thales continues to look to the future, this forum provided “an incredible opportunity to build enduring relationships”, said David Osborne from the company’s Anti-Submarine Warfare Sector.

By using a series of ‘speed dating’ engagements, the interactions allowed for partners to understand Thales’s strategic objectives and development goals as well as disclosing the opportunities available to all parties across the business. Bob Black, the CEO of Seebyte, a knowledge-based supplier providing advanced maritime autonomy software applications said:

this event has allowed us to better understand the future of our business with Thales and how we can actively participate in supporting the development of our products as active parts of Thales’s current and future projects

This event was not only beneficial for Thales but represents the company’s continued investment and support for sustaining industrial capability across the UK maritime ecosystem.
