Thales to provide TopSky-AMHS & TopSky-AIM across Six Central American countries

Thales announces that Corporación Centroamericana de Servicios de Navegación Área (COCESNA), the air navigation service provider responsible for monitoring and securing the skies over six Central American countries1 has selected the Thales TopSky-AMHS & Thales TopSky-AIM alongside a full set of Aeronautical Information Products.

The contract includes equipment and training for an Aeronautical Message Handling System (AMHS) and latest generation aeronautical database in compliance to ICAO transition from AIS to AIM. This aeronautical database (AIXM52) includes a publication system, as well as equipment for NOTAM3 office, Meteo and flight preparation services.

With this contact Thales now handles AIM and AMHS for every single Central American country. The Group has one of the strongest records on the market in providing air traffic management services and aeronautical services to multinational ANSPs like COCESNA. The group signed previously a similar contract with ASECNA, a multinational ANSP responsible for the monitoring of 17 African Countries.
