The 30th edition of the Forum Entreprises Défense took place on the Satory army base near Versailles on 9-10 October at the headquarters of the SIMMT*, the integrated through-life support structure for French land forces equipment and systems.

 

Thales is working with the SIMMT to implement the MCO-T** transformation plan and other defence ministry directives by developing and supporting digital solutions that meet the requirements of all the stakeholders in the through-life support ecosystem.

 

The Forum was an opportunity for our Customer Service and Support teams to present some of their latest innovations:

• Fleet and maintenance management solutions for mission configuration (PROMIST), vehicle fleet management (MILFLEET) equipment fleet management (SMARTFLEET), remote maintenance assistance (Maintenance Coach) and automatic usage data collection (connected mat)
• Multi-technology maintenance close to the theatre of operations, including the containerised field maintenance hub (PROXIMA) and hybrid energy management solution (DYON)
• 3D printing and spare parts supply with IVEN, the first online spare parts marketplace for aerospace and defence professionals
• Personalised training for skills management programmes, with VOLTS, a virtual reality demonstration, and Training Coach for training.

The Thales stand attracted large numbers of professional visitors, defence procurement officers and other defence customers, who showed a lot of interest in our new solutions.

With this portfolio of innovations, Thales is consolidating its position as a preferred partner in the through-life support lifecycle to help land forces accomplish their operational missions.
