Exploring the radiology revolution at Vivatech 2019

Vivatech 2019 – what an event! From thriving start-ups to market leaders such as Thales, all players in innovation met from 16 to18th May in Paris to discuss together the future of technology across all areas. With 124,000 participants from 125 countries, this internationally renowned event saw the emergence of new ideas and innovations that will transform our society. It was truly a gathering of the world’s brightest minds.

At the “Thales Lab”, we held many well attended conferences and welcomed lots of visitors to the stand – including French President Emmanuel Macron, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and President of the Ile-de-France council Valérie Pécresse!

Sebastien Gorges, Radiology Technical Director, represented Thales Microwave and Imaging Sub-Systems.  His talk on the 17th gave an exciting insight on how new technologies are shaping innovations on the medical imaging market, and their beneficial effect for doctors and their patients. He discussed in detail the importance of Cloud connectivity, making the medical imaging process ever more efficient, and how Thales is making significant progress in this area.
