Sichuan Airlines renews confidence in Thales for component maintenance services

Sichuan Airlines has signed a 2-year extension of its existing component service agreement with Thales in support of its fleet of 43 Airbus single aisle aircraft. These aircraft are operated by the regional airline mainly on scheduled domestic flights. Sichuan Airlines is based in Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport in Chengdu, in the Sichuan Province of the People's Republic of China.

Under this contract, originally signed in 2004, Thales provides Sichuan Airlines with test and repair services for a list of Thales components fitted onboard its Airbus fleet. Thales also offers exchange services through the leasing of components located on site at Chengdu airport, all on a flight hour rate basis. 

The maintenance of the components is carried out from Thales’s Regional Service Centre located in Beijing, China.

The Thales Repair-By-The-Hour programme provides guaranteed turnaround times, commitment on reliability with reduced operational risk at a predictive cost which aims at maximising value to the airline.
