SatCom Uplink TWT Product Families

  • Product family: For each product family, Thales offers several different part-numbers with specific parameters such as bandwidth, peak power, dimensions, switch on mode, etc...

  • Customised products: Thales can customise some TWT parameters to answer specific market requirements including: bandwidth, optimised version in CW (Continuous Wave) operation, peak power version, optimised prime power, switch on mode, air forced or conduction cooling.

Civil Applications

Thales provides TWTs for all major uplink SATCOM HPA manufacturers for applications in Ku, DBS & Ka band.

TWT for DBS (direct broadcast satellite) applications are widely used in ground uplink stations.

Thales developed the TH 3977 DH family operating at 750 W within DBS bandwidth.

This product offers operators state of the art performances with remarkable reliability.

Military Applications

Thales is a leading supplier in uplink military SATCOM in X, Ku, Ka & Q band.

Thales's TH 4080 family is a mini-TWT operating in the Ka band from 27.5 to 31 GHz.

Lightweight and compact, with a large bandwidth, it's perfect for portable uplink systems.
