Local coperation

Thales has a strong willingness to formulate and implement partnerships based on technical and marketing complementarities.
  • In 2002, Thales with its Turkish partner created the joint-venture Yaltes. Yaltes locally provides technologies, system integration solutions and system lifecycle support in the fields of Maritime Warfare Management Systems, Integrated Platform Control & Monitoring Systems for Vessels, and Network-supported Abilities. In 2011, Thales took over Yaltes.
  • Thales and ASELSAN signed a cooperation agreement in 2015 to continue the joint development of a Missile Launcher System. The cooperation between the two companies was initiated in 2010 and first stage firings of an integrated Missile Launcher System and LMM were demonstrated in 2014.
  • Thales and the Turkish industry have been working closely together on several programs, including 3D Radar Modernization, Helmet Mounted Sight Display with Aselsan, Genesis with Havelsan and Göktürk with TAI.

Joint-venture

Granit Thales Electronics: a joint venture formed by Thales and SKTB Granit in 2012, under a defense-industry partnership, for the development of Air Defence radars.

    In the commercial aviation domain, Thales provides the full avionics suite to the Sukhoi Superjet100 (SSJ100) programme in Russia and has established a very strong position with Turkish Airlines, as an important supplier of avionics and simulation equipme
  • Defence in Eurasia
    In the Defence domain, the Group has established a solid position as a main supplier to the Turkish Navy. A substantial part of the Turkish Navy’s fleet is equipped with Thales’s naval radars and combat systems.
  • Transportation in Eurasia
    Thales has established a solid position in Eurasia.
  • Space in Eurasia
    Thales’ presence in Turkey is based on a long standing heritage related to space and ground segment domains. Most of all Turksat satellites have been provided by Thales Alenia Space as well as the associated control and mission centers.
