Easing mobility in Toronto and beyond
PRESTO is a complete fare management system based on contactless smart cards and ticketing equipment for 2,000 vehicles and 55 stations. The solution accommodates all the service providers’ business rules and makes them clear and attractive to passengers. More than one million passengers now use PRESTO cards. Station, depot and central processing systems for each transport service provider permit tailored interoperability between providers, with a single card bearing a common e-purse and independent period passes.
