ETCS for high-capacity commuter connections
Reliable, punctual and frequent suburban services hold the key to meeting the needs of commuters[J1] in Mexico City’s metropolitan area. Thales designed and built the supervision and signalling system for the Cuautitlán-Buenavista corridor, including the deployment of ETCS Level 1 train control. Thales also provides maintenance services on the Cuautitlán-Buenavista route.
Worldwide market first
The Cuautitlán-Buenavista line is the first commuter railway in the world to use ETCS technology.
