Once the Gotthard Base Tunnel will be put into operation in 2017 it will be the longest rail tunnel in the world'stretching over 57 km and connecting the Swiss Italian and Swiss German regions with each other. Due to advanced signalling solutions such as Thales ETCS level 2 this tunnel will accommodate in two separate tubes more than 300 trains per day. As a consequence travel speed will increase from 140 km to 250 km per hour and transit time between Zurich and Milan will be reduced from 3 h 40 to 2 h 40. The Gotthard tunnel will strengthen the shift of transalpine transit traffic from road to rail and is part of NRLA (New Rail Link through the Alps) initiated by the Swiss authorities with the Lotschberg Tunnel inaugurated in 2007.

Telekomunikasi Indonesia TbK (Telkom). The satellite will boost the operator's C-band capacite, and also offer Ku-band high-definition television broadcasting and GSM/Internet services. It offers a design life exceeding 15 years, and its footprint will cover Indonesia, Southeast Asia and part of Malaysia. Its deployment will enable PT Telkom to increase broadcast capacite, as well as providing key services for businesses, the interconnection of mobile networks and Internet backbones.
