With erratic weather, vast shores and coastlines, but also illegal activities concealed amidst traditional maritime operations, standard monitoring methods are becoming insufficient in detecting threats such as Illegal, Unreported and Unregulated (IUU) fishing and illegal smuggling, but also coordinated operations like Search & Rescue missions. CoastShield enables the detection of very small targets at long distances, on the surface up to 100NM and in the low-altitude airspace, supporting national authorities in protecting EEZ, and ensuring homeland security.
