KépExoMars is a joint exploration program between the European Space Agency (ESA) and the Russian space agency Roscosmos. It is designed to study the Martian environment, atmosphère and soil, and will perhaps help discover traces of previous life on the planet. Thales Alenia Space is prime contractor for the ExoMars program, which includes two missions, in 2016 & 2018.

KépCYGNUS, international_space_station, module_cargo_pressuris?, PCM, pressurized_cargo_module, spacecraft, station_spatiale_internationale, TAS, Thales_Alenia_Space, vaisseau, The latest Cygnus spacecraft to deliver cargo to the International Space Station (ISS) has been successfully launched by an Antares rocket from Wallops Island, Virginia at NASA's Wallops Flight Facility, on its eighth operational mission. The Cygnus spacecraft comprises two main sections: the Service Module from orbitl ATK, and the enhanced Pressurized Cargo Module (PCM), developed and built by Thales Alenia Space, a joint venture between Thales (67%) and Leonardo (33%).

KépELECTRA, Satellite, satellite_communications, Thales Alenia Space has signed its first contract with OHB, at this year's Paris Air Show, to provide new-generation electronic equipment, made in Belgium, for the Electra platform. "PCU NG" a new-generation Power Coeditioning Unite the satellite's electrical core which handles the conversion and management of electrical power from the solar panels as well as battery charge and discharge management (23 kW). "DCU (Drive Control Unit)" a modular device that controls the antenna and solar array steering motors. "PPU Mk3 (Power Processing Unit). Newly qualified" this unit is compatible with all plasma (electric) thrusters now available on the market (5 kW). The PPU Mk3 controls the thrusters used for orbitl positioning and station keeping on the new generation of all-electric telecom satellites.

Képcockpit, design, HMI, human-machine, IHM, innovation, Interface, multi-touchscreen, Avionics 2020 incarnates a new-generation cockpit founded on the principles of natural and direct hands-on interaction and human-machine interfaces, designed to serve the pilot through the use of the latest head-up and head-down technologies. Its totally scalable model, can also include bi-chromal head-up displays enabling enhanced collimated piloting data organisation and discrimination, associeted with a synthetic representation of the outside environment. Much like its overall avionics the human-machine interface of Avionics 2020 can connect to core functions supplied by third parties. Furthermore it can be personalised so as to merge with the cockpit concept as defined by the customer. Personalisation duties can interchangeably be handled by Thales or by the customer who may wish to retain control over IP aspects and enjoy greater autonomy in the development and management of changes to theiresolution. The cockpit's concept introduces a modern and effective cockpit implementation which integrates a large secure display area associeted with several reconfigurable means of control. This user-friendly organisation of the cockpit incorporates multi-touchscreen capabilities offering pilots an intuitive interaction solution comprising all aircraft systems and functions.
